PETER PANCHYSHYN Peacefully on Friday, February 11, 2005, at Holy Family Nursing Home, Peter Panchyshyn, aged 85 years. Peter was born on April 27, 1916 in selo Litovishchi, povit Brode, W. Ukraine. Together with his wife Anna they came to Canada in 1949. He was a long standing member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, the church committee, Ukrainian Institute Prosvita, Ukrainian Canadian Congress and U.C.B. Peter led a very active life in the community. He was devoted to his family. He will be remembered as a kind and giving person who was always ready to help his family and many friends. Peter will be greatly missed by his children, son Roman and his children, Taras and Austen; daughter Katherine (Claude) and their children, Michele, Isabela and Bryan. He was predeceased by his wife Anna on December 1, 1994. Prayers (Panakhyda) will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 18 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 19 also at the cathedral, with Fr. M. Kouts officiating, assisted by Rev. Protodeacon Michael Woroby. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery. Special thank you to the nurses and staff, especiall Nettie at Holy Family Nursing Home for the compassion and care given to our father.
